Given at the Houston Internet Marketing Association’s Interactive Strategies Conference on September 14th, 2017 in Houston, this presentation discusses how enterprise SEO is having to shift its strategies to align to the ever-changing search engine paradigm.

Technical SEO

Setting a Strong Foundation

One of the most important and foundational elements of SEO is crawlability and usability for websites. This means that you not only adhere to the best practices for coding, site speed and responsiveness recommended by Google, but it also means being nimble and flexible enough to meet the devices needs of the user.

With a strong background in Technical SEO, Keith provides immediate and impactful technical recommendations that bring sites into better alignment with the needs of the bots and the users.

Content Strategies

Being Relevant to the Right People

When most people initially think about website traffic, they just want more of it and often don’t care how they get it. However, websites should be focused on attracting the right audience with the most relevant and engaging content available. From competitive gap analyses to audience analyses, Keith can share some strategies for attracting meaningful and relevant traffic to your content.

FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions.

If you have any further questions, feel free to click on the “Contact Us” button below to start a conversation. I would love to hear from you.

Where are you speaking next?

So far this year, I’ve spoken at Pubcon Florida. Some of my upcoming events include being a guest on Webcology on WebmasterRadio, speaking at H/IMA Luncheon, and appearing at Advanced Search Summit in D.C. and Pubcon Pro in Las Vegas. See all of my upcoming events on my calendar.

Can I book you for my podcast?

Absolutely. I have a studio set up at my house, so I can join you virtually anywhere for your podcast. Click on the “Contact Us” button to schedule me.

What are your go-to industry news sources?

Not in any order of preference:

I also monitor conversations on Twitter and Facebook.

Do you ever write for industry publications?

I really wish I had time to do more of it, to be honest. My goal is to write more publicly in 2019. I currently write internal blog posts for IBM, which aren’t available to the public. I have published publicly-available material in the past. Be sure to check out my Publications and Mentions page for my selected bibliography.

Do you represent IBM when you speak?

When I speak at conferences, generally I do not represent IBM. The exception to that, of course, is when I speak at IBM conferences. But for events like Pubcon and SMX, I’m presenting at Keith Goode the SEO, not Keith Goode the IBMer.

Do you plan on writing a book?

It’s not entirely off the table, but I hesitate to say “yes” as well. The nature of digital marketing and anything related to search engines is that they’re volatile and apt to change regularly. Once you publish your first edition, you’ll need to begin editing for the second edition with all of the changes that have occurred. I’ll keep you posted though.
